The dr. told JM last month that he was suffering from chronic synusitus. He had had a CT scan done which showed that. This last week he got results back from a lab test that said he was allergic to something. What could it be? Something in our house. Dust mites? No. Mold? No. Swirley Swirl? Yes. Can you believe it? He said we're not getting rid of her, but he'll probably have to take something to control the nose better. hahaha!
March has entered with 40 mph winds. Very nice weather in the 70's, but the wind has made it dusty outside.
Sam started guitar lessons on Friday. He's actually taking JM's slot for now as he's been so busy lately and we pay for that time slot no matter what. His teacher's name is Jed. On Fridays I'll be picking him up at a bus stop near Autumn's school, run him to his lesson about a mile from there, run back to pick up Autumn, drop her off at home, go back and get Sam and come home. All in 35 minutes.
This week he also starts tennis after school. It's every day after school from 3:15 to 5:00, so there'll be a conflict on Fridays with the guitar lesson.
On Friday I babysat for the woman in our church who has breast cancer. Her surgery went well, and the babysitting of the kids went well too (ages 4,2,and 1).
John's office had a little progress this week. These are the only pictures I have to share...
When you come in the office/workshop door this is what you see. The room furthest out is going to be an exercise room.
If you look to your left, you'll see this new wall. It was cinder blocks with shelves on it before.
If you look to the right, you see this.
Looking back at the door that you come in from the family room
If you go into the future exercise room and turn back around to the office, this is what you see. The part sticking out on the right is the chimney that goes all the way up to the fireplace in the living room above and up to the roof. There was a hole there to clean out the ashes when we used to use that particular fireplace as a wood one.
Not much there yet, but the dream is in John's head
We've been pretty busy (school luau, birthday parties, etc), but I'll leave it at this for now.

Does the cat sleep in your new bed? I hope not.
Do you remember the castle where you lived before in Canada that was never finished? Your house is starting to remind me of it! ha That will be nice for him to have his own office.

Answers to the above posts...
1) No, the cat doesn't sleep w/ us. She gets locked in the basement downstairs because she "comes alive" at night and drives us nuts.
2) Bolt Castle, Julie. You are right!
3) JM is making the decision, not me!!!
How do you know it is Swirley Swirl? Jen
He had an allergy test, and it said he was allergic to cats.
Does he have to take an inhaler? Because I know people that have to do that sort of thing.
Julie
No, not at all. If his breathing were affected, I don't think we'd still have a cat in our house. He just sneezes more, or his nose might run more than the average person. He was on an antibiotic last week and his allergy actually seemed to improve. Nevertheless, we're trying not to let Swirley in the bedroom during the day or anytime. She doesn't like that. Today she sat there for a long time outside of the door like she didn't know what to do with herself. I think she likes to escape in there when the remodeling workers come and make so much noise.
Gosh...am I suppose to feel sorry for the cat? ha
Yes, poor thing. Her world has been turned upside down.
I know you guys are shuddering when I write about the cat. Hahahhahaa! I love making you cringe!!!
Well I never!
I always breath better when I take anitbiotics.
