The kids started school last week. Here are a few pictures of them on their first day.
Sam leaves the house at 7:05 AM. He walks 2/10ths of a mile to his stop. It's easy now, but may be more challenging in the dark of winter.
Off he goes.
Patting his hair to make sure all is in place.
Autumn leaves about 8:30. She got new lenses in her glasses. They tint when she goes outside. You may be able to tell in this picture a little bit. She doesn't like the way they make her look. The dr. recommended them for her though.
For some reason, when I import this photo, it won't rotate the right way. I have no idea why. Anyway, she's showing off her new backpack, so turn your heads and look at it.
Mom, this one's for you. This is the fountain grass that I planted next to your house. This is what it is suppose to look like!
A set of fountain grasses. Usually at this time of the year, our wave petunas are spilling over the edge of this rock wall and onto the grass. For some reason the left half all died and now everything is off kilter. Is that how you spell kilter?
One of Sam's jobs. Our neighbor pays him to water this fountain grass/geranium planter as well as a flower box in their backyard. The fountain grass has kind of overtaken the pot.
And they keep on growing. Those cute little seeds have grown to overtake the house almost. They're kind of ugly now, but we're a little afraid of them. They have a mind of their own.
Still can't make up our mind. We have 3 swipes of paint on 4 different walls like this. We may end up going with the darker one. Not sure. We also think we'll paint our entry way red, the wall out to the patio red, and the wall above the mantle of the fireplace red. So whatever the rest of the room ends up being, it has to go with some shade of red. The one on the far right doesn't look like it really looks. It's more YELLOW than that, and looks very similar to our downstairs. If our downstairs was not that color, I'd probably go for it. I'm just sick of seeing YELLOW everywhere.

the darker, is the color of Karla's sitting room. then she has red in the living room and red in the litchen on one wall. Her house is very open so you see the colors through out and it is very pretty.
mom
I can't believe how tall that grass is. Mine is sickly compared to that.
Grandmother thinks the school pictures are very nice!! How exciting--the first day of school!!Isn't it hard to make decisions about colors, rugs, etc. :) Debby
