We still cannot figure out a paint color for our living room. We currently have 4 bigs samples in different sections of our living room, and none strike our fancy! I had one of the int. dec. girls come over and she said for the first time in her life, she's not able to look at one and say, "that's it!". Great! We would become her first hard case. We have almost definitely decided on a brick red for above the fireplace, so it's going to have to be a color that will go with that. I'm starting to think of just a neutral. We seem to have picked out things with more orange or yellow in them, instead of neutral. Orange and yellow don't necessarily go with our brick red. So we now have 4 quarts of different color paints, and will probably be buying more! We should just pour them all together and paint something...maybe the downstairs bathroom that only Swirly uses.
Speaking of Swirly, here she is in one of her favorite spots...John Mark's guitar case.
You can also see a tiny bit of our red rug here. This is where the piano will go. I know I need to take a bigger picture of it.
We went to Sam's School's open house on Tuesday. Had an aweful supper there, and then went to all of his classes. We would go to a class for about 10 minutes while the teacher introduced herself and told of what's expected in the class. Then the bell would ring and we'd go to another. Went to all 7 classes that way. It was very informative for us as parents. It is going to be a full time job keeping up with all of it though. Every teacher has a different website, and they're not all coordinated together too well. The school itself is run pretty well, and we were impressed by that. It's also only about 12 years old so things are in great shape.
I couldn't find a picture of it, but when I do, I'll post it.
Tonight Autumn went to take the litter out to the trash can. When she got to the patio door she screamed. This was on the inside handle....
And now you know why she screamed!
These pictures also make me realize how scuzzy that door is.

I enjoyed the Blog on Saturday, Aug. 24. I'm gad you are making the decision about the color and not me. Sam's Open House sounded interesting. JM's was much like that in Russell. I would like to see more of the red rug--it looks nice. I'm sure the cat must have musical inclinations to love the guitar case. From Debby!
