Five O'clock Vacation

A great time was had by all at the 5 o'clock beach house. We took turns making meals.
Jenny's night...Hawaiian food
my night...BLT's, corn on the cob, fruit salad
Sandi's night...lasagna, garlic bread, salad
Julie's night...fajita's and burritos.
Two nights spent at restaurants...Doc's Seafood (which wasn't as good as last time we were there 3 years ago), and The Steamer...steamed seafood, which I really liked.

Many games were created in the pool...one we called Chaos, water polo, and volleyball. Most of us spent time reading, sleeping, eating, swimming, and playing in the pool. The younger generation stayed up late into the night reading and reading and reading. Rachelle and Brian stayed up one night writing a song called "Woe is Me". One night we played Mafia. Almost each night Jenny read "The Village that Slept" to Caris and Autumn.

We returned home on Monday night. When we packed up Saturday morning a sand storm blew in for a few minutes. The doors to our van were all opened so sand got everywhere. When we got home, everything was covered in a layer of sand. And trying to vacuum it up was awful. It was humid here, so the sand stayed "stuck" to everything. I had to get a bucket of soap and water and wash it off the vinal in the car. Terrible mess.

I've included tons of pictures, many of them repetative. Several have captions below them.

I went through the pictures and laughed my head off. Absolutely loved them. Can I have a disc of them? You could make it for me and bring it to the reunion or so. They were so beautiful and yet, ....some of them were so touching!

I want to make sure and let everyone know that Abigal took most of these pictures and she is not getting the deserved credit.

So when you look at a picture -if you could just kind of imagine a little circle in the corner of the picture signifying that Abigal took that picture and it is her that deserves the credit. Maybe the little A in the corner of the picture would look something like this: @ or this A.

Without this change -you are essentially stealing from Abigal. This has to stop.

Abi took the group ones on the beach where all 17 of us are lined up as well as all the pool pics where JM and I are in it. I can't type on every single one of hers that she took it!
Actually, I am getting ready to post a blog with more picture on it gathered from her, Emily, and Julie as part of the collection (as well as myself). I got them off Facebook.

Karma works in a funny way...i hope you don't write a hit song that will be downloaded for free 3 million times:)

I take that back- go ahead and write that hit song...we'll deal with the ramifications later.
