Busy week + July 4th

This has been our typical day this week...
Take Autumn to swimming lessons
Take Sam to tennis lessons
Bring home Autumn from swimming lessons
Take Sam to swimming lessons
Bring home Sam from swimming lessons---and visa versa, depending on if it's TUes and Thurs or Monday and Wednesday
Plus work in 3 dental appointments, a dermatologist appointment, a funeral dinner, a lunch meeting about VBS, preparation for leading a new Bible study, etc...

As always, I get Autumn private swimming lessons for a week. I find out they are only 4 days this year. I pay an arm and a leg for them and by Wed. she is sick and can't go. (think stomach). They allow no make up days. I think she must get the H2O in her system and it makes her ill. I swear every year not to do this because it's not worth paying for when she gets sick, but I always forget.
One neat thing...she went off the high dive today. She actually liked it. I tried to get a picture of her, but it happened too quickly.
Sam has been doing lap swimming and really enjoyed it. No instructor, just a certain time he's allowed to go and swim laps.

Neither were suppose to be allowed at the Natatorium on Friday because of no lessons etc...However, we found out that a Kansas PBS program is filming there on Friday to do a special on UFM. This is the organization that sponsors the swim programs as well as ten thousand other amateur taught classes (cooking, belly dancing, photography, finding your inner self etc...) UFM stands for University For Manhattan. Anyway, they'll be there filming for an hour Friday morning so the kids DO get to put some extra time in the pool after all.

Our city pool has been closed after being opened only one week due to large cracks in the cement, so pools are getting hard to come by in Manhattan.

Sam

Sam again

I took Sam to the dermatologist this week to have a mole on his face looked at. The dr. said it definitely needs to come off as it has darkened and is the "wrong" shape. So he'll be having surgery on Wed.(17th). He is not allowed in a pool for 2 weeks after that.

I've added a few more pictures from the vacation that I got from Ab,Em, Julie, and some are ours. As always, click the first one and go from there...

New Album 7/9/08 9:34 AM

Also from July 4th at church...

We fed 134 people at the church Fish Fry. This was the most food I have EVER seen at one of our church functions.

All the teens and kids set off fireworks in the parking lot from 7:00 to 9:45. Then we watch the city fireworks from the parking lot. JM co-ordinates all the music while we watch as well as when we get ready for when people are just setting around.

ALSO, NOTE ADDED POLL ON SIDE BOARD, AS WELL AS A LIST OF BOOKS THE FAMILY IS READING.

I actually hate community swimming pools. I've had to many bad experiences with them!

Those are really good pictures. I especially like the ones of me. ha ha just kidding!

Went to a community pool yesterday just to take a quick break from people and clients...i am there 30 seconds look up and there's the client i am most sick of standing over me, blocking the sun, and breathing audibly (think darla H. or the sound a submarine makes when it goes under water..."cah")...
anyway he says "mr. witter i didn't know you cometo this pool- can you call me next time you come so we can go down the slide together?"
I say "jebidiah you need to go find your mom, i need a little break".
He says "can i sit by you if i am real quiet".
I say "yes".
20 seconds later i faked getting a phone call so i could get out of there and away from that little mouth breather.
I am skipping the community pools the rest of the year. You just never know what you will have to deal with.
