Sam's stitches came out today. The mole was benign.
JM's parents came for a visit last week. They traveled with Drew and Emily (Lois's kids) to KS. They dropped off Emily to go to camp with Autumn this week at Wheat State camp near Augusta, KS. The girls spent Monday through Thurs there.
Meanwhile, JM traveled to D.C. on Monday and came back Thurs at midnight. This was 24 hours later than expected due to storms in the D.C. area. Sam had fun fishing, playing tennis, playing the video games etc..with Drew and the grandparents. Winston rented a trailer to haul our old bedroom furniture back to Lois's for storage. They plan to eventually use it in a spare bedroom after retirement. Debby and I froze 2 bushels of corn and 20 pints of blueberries. We also got some shopping at Christopher and Banks in, of course.
Winston kept busy doing odd jobs around our house--trimming bushes, fixing things etc..

Autumn and Emily made this person with our left over corn husks and flower petals they gathered around our yard.

EVERY picture I took with the four cousins, one of them had their eyes closed. No perfect picture.
Drew was Sam's constant companion for the week
I think I'm getting ready to blink

When the girls came back we found out that they were exposed to lice on the first day of camp. Long story, but all of their bedding was washed and they were re-checked for lice when it all happened. It's a miracle that they didn't get it, as they were right in the midst of the girls who came down with it! When they came home, Debby and I re-washed everything just to be sure.
Friday we enjoyed a meal at Hu Hot Mongolian Grill, before the family took off. That afternoon Autumn had a friend over. When the friend left, she curled up on the couch and slept 2 hours!
{Note to Debby: I will try to get some camp pictures from Pastor Linda. I have seen some, but don't have them on my computer yet.}
Saturday afternoon/evening was spent out at Lake Elbo. Sam's friend's have a weekend house out there (15 minutes from town) and they invited us and about 8 other families to join them. The other families are kids that have been friends with Sam since kindergarten. There was paddle boating, water skiing, swimming, and fishing. It was a good time until we had an electrical storm. We had to all go inside for a little bit then, but when it cleared, we were back out to a much cooler evening than the week had been.
Sunday brought a Sunday School picnic out at Tuttle Creek Lake. Very hot,but enjoyable just the same. This new Sunday School class was started a few weeks ago. I haven't been a part of a S.S. class in over 8 years. It's been pretty enjoyable.

Tell Autumn the pictures of stuffed animals eating did not sit right with me. Caris is at camp with us. She misses Autumn. jen
Tell Autumn I LOVED the picture of stuffed animals eating. Reminded me of things Chelle would do. Chelle usually had her stuffed animals lined up in a choir on her bed and she led them with a baton. -Sandi
Sandi, that's cute about Chell and the stuff animals.
I like the picture of Autumn and Sam playing quietly together.
I reallylike the picture of all 4 of the cousins. Really cute and I think they all resemble each other. What color is Drew and Emily's hair? Is it strawberry blonde or just blond? I love discussing hair color. You know...mine's blonde....naturally.
Julie
That's hilarious about the stuffed animal choir (Jenny, they're not real).
Drew's hair is very blonde. Emily's is pretty close to Autumn's color.
