LUKE--somehow this picture got posted first. He is so adorable!
So, it's been awhile since I've posted on here. Lots going on, as usual, but here are a few highlights.
Sam is on the tennis team at school. He is on the B team with the chance to move up. Here he is returning from a match last week.....He got first place and won 4 out of 4 games.
He enjoys these matches because he gets to get out of school early. For the last two matches, he was released at 10:30 for the rest of the day. The matches have been in Salina, an hour away. Most of the next ones will be closer, so he won't have to leave quite so early.
This weekend he is at MAX (Mid-America Extreme) which is sort of like the old Teen Talent, only tons more catagories. And MAX is the regional version. Our region goes all the way up to North Dakota, so lots of different kids involved. Sam is not participating, but is going as a spectator. He is staying with 7 other boys. Friday night he went to Worlds of Fun. We're just hoping he didn't gorge himself on Energy drinks and then go on roller coasters. If you know anything about Sam, this could be a bad combination and lead to a bad experience with all those around him as well as for himself!
Autumn has had two piano recitals the last 3 weeks. Unfortuantely , we're having technical difficulty being able to post anything from her playing.
Here is a picture of her with her limestone poster she did for science class. Something we literally have tons of in our region of the country.....
We celebrated Swirly's 2nd birthday with a new place for her to sleep. As you can see, she liked the box from a mail package that was nearby. (I know, not a great view in this picture :-) ...

This week marked the return of hundreds of soldiers to our area from Iraq. Several of them will be in church this Sunday.

those kids are so talented --it's beyond mere words about what they can do.
tell Sam getting out of school early for a tennis match makes us all jealous cause no witter ever was good enough at sports to get out of school early.

I know she's in two piano recitals but why are there 2? Also, that is great about Sam and tennis.
That cat is running your house...just kidding. People say that about our dog "Chance" and we just pretend we don't hear them and change the subject.
That cat is a huge part of my kids' life, and Autumn insisted we put the pictures on our blog...thus, you see our precious kitty on here multiple times.
She had 2 recitals because the first one was a concerto. Each year her teacher has a few students learn a concerto and enter a contest. A concerto is a LONG piece of music to be played with an orchestra or other piano. Autumn's piece wasn't ready before the time of the contest, but was ready a month later. The teacher wanted another "concerto" recital so the kids had a chance to play the long piece they'd worked to memorize for an audience and not just judges, never to play it again. Since conertos are long, she didn't want to clog up the regular spring recital with these longer pieces. The piano teacher was the accompaniest on a keyboard.
Those kids are doing sooo good. Tall Sam a big congradulations on his Tennis performance. he should have been on the A Team. Now maybe they will recognize his talent there.. Autumn? She always performs well.
