The week has sure turned cold. It's in the 50's and I have a sweater on in the house. Quite different than a few weeks ago.
JM has left for Windsor Castle in England. Part of his flight he is flying on 9/11. Kind of scary! Hopefully, he'll be able to send some pics and I can post them here.
Autumn has started back on piano. Her teacher requires a 30 minute a day practice, which some days seems very long! Right now she is playing "Joshua Founght the Battle of Jericho" and the "Erie Canal". She knows Erie Canal really well and plays it as fast as she possibly can.
We told Sam he could give up the paper route if he wanted (they have to give a one month notice). JM has to get up at 5:45 on Sunday mornings to help him and yesterday they were a full hour late in delivering them. A full hour he could have stayed in bed. We're all sick of it. However, when given the option of quitting he says, "I'll keep my route if you let me keep 100% of my money and not save any of it." We vetoed that.
I gave a 2 minute power point annoucement at church to try to get Sunday school teachers for the grade school kids. We had 4 positions to fill, and some have had to do childrens church and teach all on the same Sunday morning week after week. I told the congregation that very fact. I also showed them the subjects the kids would be learning and asked them to commit to only 3 months. You'd think that wouldn't be much at all! How many teachers did I get from my 2 minute presentation? One. Okay, that's better than none, but it's the Chinese lady, who has just started reading the Bible and it's very hard to understand her English. JM said I should have had her team teach, but team teach with whom? There was no one else. I'm not even Sunday Sc. Superintendent, but we actually don't have one of those right now either.
Well, I've not taken many pictures this week. Here are a few from 2 weeks ago of our yard.
One of my favorites, the Wondering Jew
And here's another from 18 years ago...

Is this your anniversery? I have lost track or is this JOHN w.? The flowers are beautiful and make mine look sick although the colues are looking very nice now.Do you have to hand water any of them?
I would be sick of the paper route too, wonder if he could do it weekly then someone else do in on sunday. MOM
Mine was August 5, Mom.
I hand water the ones in pots. I didn't take a picture of those though.
I got someone who is going to start subbing for him on Tuesdays because that's our busiest day. This girl is also going to take it for a week for him. He needs a break.
Can't always post, but still like to read this. Did Abi give you that picture?
I downloaded it off the one she put on Cooper/Goins. Then I tinted it. I would like all of those photos she took though.
